Lori Lips and LipSense

I am a Registered Nurse and a VERY PROUD Independent Representative for
SeneGence International. In 2003, while working full-tme as a Nurse Case Manager for an insurance company and becoming VERY frustrated with 9 plus hour days, I treated myself to attending the annual St Louis Working Women’s Survival Show. I had read that one of the featured speakers was Loretta Swit, aka HOT LIPS HOOLIHAN from MASH. I had always liked her character and felt a bit of a bond with her. It’s a stretch, yes, but see back when MASH came out, I was “gifted” with the nickname, HOT LIPS. Imagine, being in 7th grade, never been kissed by a boy, but inherit that nickname ! (My parents were NOT amused…don’t think they totally believed me when I explained it was due to my hair and round face). Anyway, I was intrigued to go listen to her speak because of the company, SENGENCE INTERNATIONAL, that she was going to talk about. SHE WAS NOT A SPOKESPERSON for them, she just loved the company, what it stood for, THE COSMETICS, etc.
After listening to her speak, I thought, “I’ve GOT to find this booth”. Well, I found it. The crowd of women around the booth was HUGE. It took me forever to get to MY TURN to try the LIPSENSE that everyone was going crazy over. At the time, I was totally fed up with the cosmetics industries promises of long lasting lipsticks and essentially quit wearing lip color all together. But THIS STUFF was amazing! The Shea Butter Gloss felt like heaven and when Deb Sell, the woman who was working with me explained how good it is for your lips, I was TOTALLY sold. I made my purchase and engaged in some small talk. When I found out Deb was from WISCONSIN, I asked her why she was all the way down in St. Louis. HER WORDS WERE, WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH DISTRIBUTORS—YOU, TOO CAN BECOME ONE. I’LL GIVE YOU GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT IF YOU WANT TO BE A DISTRIBUTOR, I’ll TRAIN YOU TO DO THAT, ALSO. In my mind, I knew in an instant that I could sell the product. I gathered some additional information and pranced away GLEEFULLY.
Deb followed up with me to make sure I was happy with my purchase a few days later. (Of course, I was thrilled) and I told her I would be signing up—-SOON! And I did. And Deb trained me from 2 states away. I truly felt like I had smokin hot lips that day. I’ve never regretted my decision. I love being a nurse, but the entrepreneurial bug had bit me years prior when I realized that I would be working as a nurse until my legs fell off and would NEVER be rewarded proportionately in the money department. With SeneGence, I can be my OWN BOSS and chart my OWN DESTINY.
One last thing– so much of my dream for prosperity is due to 2 very special girls. My daughters.
Yes, my husband, too. I REALLY WILL BE BUYING HIM ANY CAR HE WANTS ONE OF THESE DAYS.
